Connecting photographers with Canada's wild places since 2014
What began as informal trips with fellow photographers has evolved into Canada's most respected wilderness photography expedition company. Our founders spent years exploring remote corners of this vast country, documenting landscapes that few ever witness.
That accumulated knowledge — of light patterns, seasonal shifts, wildlife movements, and hidden vantage points — forms the foundation of every route we design. We share what took us decades to learn, condensed into transformative multi-day experiences.
Our approach to photography expeditions differs fundamentally from standard tour operators
Every route reflects years of personal exploration. We know how morning mist behaves in specific valleys, which ridgelines catch the last light, and where wildlife congregates across seasons. This knowledge cannot be replicated from guidebooks.
Our guides are active professionals whose work appears in galleries and publications. They bring current technical expertise and artistic perspective, not just logistical support. They shoot alongside you, demonstrating techniques in real conditions.
Weather changes. Light surprises. Wildlife appears unexpectedly. Our small group size and deep regional knowledge allow us to adapt in real-time, chasing conditions rather than following rigid schedules.
We believe photography is not about collecting locations but about developing a relationship with landscape. When you understand a place — its rhythms, its moods, its character — your images transcend documentation and become art.
Our expeditions are designed to foster this understanding. We spend enough time in each location for participants to move past obvious compositions and discover personal visions. We encourage experimentation, provide constructive guidance, and create space for individual exploration.
The landscapes we photograph face increasing pressure from climate change, development, and overvisitation. We take our responsibility as stewards seriously.
Every expedition follows Leave No Trace principles rigorously. We avoid fragile ecosystems during vulnerable periods. We limit group sizes to minimize our footprint. And we donate a portion of every booking to wilderness conservation organizations across Canada.
Our participants range from serious amateurs to working professionals. What unites them is a genuine passion for landscape photography and willingness to embrace early mornings, variable weather, and the demands of wilderness travel.
We welcome all skill levels, from those learning exposure fundamentals to those refining advanced techniques. Our small groups allow guides to provide appropriate attention to each participant, wherever they are in their photographic journey.
